Chicago Urban Ministries and Life Intervention (CUMALI) is an on-the-ground nonprofit organization that serves the most entrenched houseless and homeless in Chicago - providing a warm meal, clothing, and companionship.

OUR MISSION

We work to empower the houseless and homeless in urban Chicago by engaging with them where they live, providing necessary services, and creating a sense of community support without judgement or prerequisite.

On Monday nights the CUMALI team drives around the Lower Wacker area in downtown Chicago. We stop and serve each person along our routes. Typically we serve 60-70 individuals through the course of the evening.

Our goal is to provide a warm meal, clothing or other items (depending on the season), and compassion. It is this last item that we make sure to not overlook or take for granted.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

CUMALI operates on a very modest budget, and yet it achieves so much for those it serves.

As a 501 (c) (3) charity, we welcome both monetary and donations of items that support our mission.
